Love is not a matter of counting the years. It's to make the years count.

Don't miss Clarence's Blog which is chock-full of great information and pointers to really useful stuff. Concise and to the point because we know you don't have a lot of time to spare. Clarence's Blog is here.

You've found us I'm Charleen Larson, an Internet entrepreneur who lives on the San Francisco Peninsula in an undisclosed location. I manage clearanceclarence.com in my spare time. Feel free to go ahead and send an electronic missive to clarence@c l e a r a n c e c l a r e n c e . c o m (remove the spaces) but don't be surprised if you don't get an instant response. See the bit about "spare time", above.

This site was set up to provide excitement, amusement, education and lots of pictures of gorgeous jewelry, but most of all: Free Jewelry! Yippee! As the California Lottery likes to say, "Keep It Fun."

Towards that end, we not only offer our own free jewelry Clarence Club program, but scour the web for the best free jewelry offers for you. Be sure to keep tabs on Clarence's Blog, too, as more offers and great info are posted there periodically.

We enjoy giving a place in the spotlight to other hardworking eBay sellers in our "Recommended eBay Seller" features. If you would like your 15 minutes of fame, please email me.

Our eBay seller ID clearance*clarence sells high-quality sterling silver department store jewelry exclusively on eBay. Most of our necklace, bracelet, ring and earring auctions start at just 99 cents.

Site design These pages were designed using the Pale Romance palette from ColourLovers. The font is Verdana, a sans-serif type chosen for readability. The designer (moi) has noodled around with HTML for years but this is her first real attempt, so be kind.

The fabled Koh-i-Noor diamond Koh-i-Noor, Persian for "Mountain of Light" is one of the world's most famous diamonds. Oddly, though, it is neither the largest or the finest. There are differing stories about the origins of the stone. One Indian legend claims it emerged 5,000 years ago in ancient India and was first known to be in the possession of Sultan Baber, founder of the Mughal Empire. Whatever the truth, we know that the East India Company took it from India to England in 1852, where it was presented to Queen Victoria. The stone had been poorly cut in India, supposedly from its original 787 carat size, to 186 carats. Prince Albert had the stone cut again in London, so that it is now 108 carats in a shallow rose cut.
