Cameo Girl
The cameo is a very old form going back to at least the 11th century. Though we tend to think of graceful ladies in profile as the subject, cameos often featured children and men and were not simply necklaces and brooches, as often seen today but incorporated into larger more elaborate pieces such as tiaras and breastplates.
